The Move at The Marquee Club 1967

Silk Screen Print

Signed and Blind Stamped

The Move formed in 1965 and by 1966 they had a residency at The Marquee Club in Soho. Like The Pink Floyd at the UFO club, The Move turned their shows into spectacles. Their early shows featured outrageous antics on the stage, media stunts, costumes and controversy. The band was due to release their debut album in Autumn of 1967 but due to delays caused by a theft of their master tapes in April, the album wasn’t released until March 1968.
